The 2026 season is almost here as we have some deer hunters arriving Sarturday to start the season. I had a 20 minute report written and then lost it when the computer locked up doing the spell check so this time it will be short. We got a lot of rain lately and everything greened back up nice. The Winter was mild and the Spring had plenty of rain so the animals had a great year and we're looking forward to getting started. I've been seeing a lot of animals out checking stuff, deer, elk, bear, so we should start the season with some action. Generally the early season, first few weeks can be slow due to so much food everywhere the animals are all spread out and tough to pin down. They can eat anywhere and bed anywhere in the taller grasses which can make for some tough hunting until all that comes to a end in late September, early october. I've seen some good bucks and bulls so far and I'll be posting pictures as we move through the season with some further updates. Keep checking back for more.
