Hunters will be arriving tomorrow for the opening day of rifle elk and deer season here in Montana starting Saturday. There's been a ton of deer out lately with the cooler weather with some snow in the mountains. We built a new platform on the mountain to hold a new box blind that's on it's way, hasn't arrived yet. The old shooting house that was built there years ago blew off the rocks in a wind storm a few years ago. Will be nice to finally get this set up and ready to go once the blind arrives. Looks like we'll be doing it during rifle season however so we'll find time to get it done at some point.
Word on the street is there's a new Yellowstone TV show being filmed on a ranch bordering one of ours and that's been shifting some elk around, some for the good, some for the bad. They might be finished now but last week there was a ton of traffic and a helicopter flying around the ranch as they had a lot going on that day.
The weather is beautiful right now and suppose to change over the weekend as snow and rain moves in to welcome us on opening weekend. Generally we do well on opening weekend so hopefully we are busy come Saturday and Sunday. I'll be posting pics when I can.
