The weather has been rather warm for this time of the year however the elk hunting has been very good! The deer hunting will get better with colder temps or some snow. The deer movement is very slow despite what should be some peak rutting activity, the guys just aren't seeing any of it except very early and late in the day. There's no snow on the ground right now but the forecast shows a chance of snow 7 straight days to end the season. Should be a game changer in deer movement and hopefully make the elk come out of hiding and provide these guys the last week some action! So far there's only been 2 elk hunters not get a bull and 1 of those took a shot but misjudged the yardage. Another great season for elk hunting!
