Deposit Information/Policy: A non-refundable $1,500.00 advanced deposit is required to hold a reservation. Deposits will be applied to the cost of the hunt and are non-refundable. The deposits of those not granted a license through a general draw would be applied to holding a reservation for the following season.

Cancellation & Refund Policy: There is a very small margin of profit in the outfitting business. After you have made your reservation we will likely turn away other clients for the same hunt. For this reason, and because it is nearly impossible to re-book canceled space after big game licenses have been issued or sold out, if you cancel your booking/hunt for any reason, your $1,500.00 deposit on your hunt is NON-REFUNDABLE.

License Information: Procurement of Montana state license, special permits, and tags required for the hunt are the responsibility of the participant. Guaranteed licenses may be available through the Company upon request. Pricing for these guaranteed licenses are set at a market value/rate by the Montana State Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks. These license costs are subject to change outside the control of Montana Whitetails, Inc. Information for obtaining licenses is available through the Company, or through the Montana State Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks. Hunters scheduled during the archery-only season must obtain an archery license/permit.

The participant must provide all hunting gear, including suitable clothing, bows, arrows, firearms, and ammunition. To assist you in preparing for your visit and hunt, please review the information provided on our website [www.montanawhitetails.com], including:

Note:
  • Non-resident licenses include the conservation license, fishing and upland bird hunting; a Montana State waterfowl stamp in addition to a Federal Migratory bird stamp is required for hunting migratory waterfowl in Montana.
  • Trophy fees in addition to the base hunt fees apply for Elk, Whitetail, Mule Deer, Bear or Antelope, if not booked in advance of the trip.

Cancellation: The Company retains the right to cancel, reschedule, or relocate hunts, and/or deny permission to trespass or hunt at any time for any reason and in its sole discretion. Any participant wounding or killing any game or non-game animals other than that specifically identified/contracted for above may be subjected to additional fees from the Company, and/or prosecuted by the State of Montana for hunting, poaching trespass or various other violations of law. Any pictures/video taken by Shield River Outdoors, L.L.C. may be used for promotional purposes and/or advertisement.

Wounding Policy: If you draw blood, and the animal can't be found, there is a wounding fine of $500 to continue hunting.

Antler Restrictions: We will be enforcing a 115-inch minimum antler restriction on all bucks.

Button Bucks: Please know button bucks are protected here to ensure future generations of quality bucks for management purposes. There will be a penalty charge of $250.00 for the harvest or wounding of a yearling button buck.

Combo Hunts: Combo hunts are subject to additional fees if not booked in advance of your trip. Combo hunts should be acknowledged to the Company before booking to ensure proper applications and licenses are acquired before deadlines set by the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks. Costs of additional licenses are the responsibility of the participant. If a combo hunt was not part of your initial purchased trip, payment must be made before hunting of additional animals.

All fees associated with combo hunts are to be paid in full by the client/hunter before hunting begins. All transportation, processing and care of all animals hunted are the sole responsibility of the participant.
